Analyses for Railway Ballast Declaration
Railway ballast is subject to pollution, such as from oil or railway herbicides. Depending on the level of pollution, used ballast may be recycled or processed. It can then either be reused in railways, or used as a foundation material in road construction, in path construction, as a drainage layer, etc.
There are relevant declaration analyses required for proper reuse of railway ballast.
We test the used ballast or gravel for organic and inorganic substances, incl. herbicide residue (railway herbicide, glyphosate, AMPA).
We can support you in making decisions based on the Deutsche Bahn used ballastguidelines, the LAGA regulations, and the Landfill Ordinance (DepV).
